“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, not to worry about the future, not to anticipate the future, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly.” – Buddha

My Thoughts:

As much as this sounds like a secret, it really is not, and it is quite obvious. In other words, the Buddha is saying to live in the neutral state of mind. Forget the past and forget the future, it is the moment that defines who you are.

Mourn

Even though it is true we shouldn’t dwell on it, but I think mourning is healthy. It is a feeling given to us to experience it, so why not? I think it makes you a stronger person with more heart and dignity. Just to mention that mourning comes very randomly and almost like God is delivering it to us. Maybe it’s to get us stronger or ready for something greater to come, I’m not sure. Regardless of the reason, we need to be strong about it and face it with full heart.

The Future

Often when people think about the future it is because they are worrying about something. There is something that is causing to think ahead which usually is stress or anxiety type of feelings. Most people don’t think about the future, they live for the moment being. Therefore, if you are worried about the future, then that means something is bother you now.

If something is bother you, it is better to face it than to run away from it. As that is what it’s designed for you to do. Try it.

Wisely

Buddha is right that you should live now with wisely aspect of life. Meaning life correctly towards good fate. Don’t do bad stuff, live with kindness in your heart and good willing approach to everything that you do.
