“If I’d known I was going to live this long, I’d have taken better care of myself.” – Eubie Blake

My Thoughts:

I really think it’s not about knowing but about just expecting. I mean sure life is a mystery and we just don’t know how long we are going to live. But it’s kind of obvious that with proper care you will live longer than with no care. At the same time accidents happen like you get in a car crash and die, or like Kobe helicopter accident. These types of mysteries are just unexpected and not something we should live worrying about.

Aging

As the years are passing, the clock is ticking, and your age is rising. Regardless how long you are going to live, maintaining your body with proper care will eliminate unnecessary body issues. Most of the time, people don’t think how long they are going to live because they don’t know. For example, If I know I’m going to die at age 50, I probably will not maintain myself either. I mean why should I? Since I don’t know how long I’m going to live, I try to be healthy as much as I can.

It’s Hard

The hardest factor for me is to maintain my health. Eating healthy is just beyond my control and often have super crazy food cravings. Thinking about eating healthy makes me cry. I don’t want to wake up and eat carrots. I want to wake up and eat a bag of Hot Cheetos. (LOL) It’s super hard and I fully understand if people are having hard time maintaining a proper diet.

Body VS Brain

A lot of times your body will tell you to grab that bag of Hot Cheetos. But it is not your body, it is your brain that is making you feel that way. In fact, your body is like give me the carrots and tomatoes, not the Hot Cheetos.
