I noticed a new item on the Costco Food Court which is the Roast Beef Sandwich. At first, I didn’t get it because I wasn’t sure just how big it was going to be. However, as I saw someone else get it and I saw that it is pretty big, I figured I’ll just go with it. If you are wondering what the size is? It is just under 8 inches by 4 inches on an Artisan Roll Bread. At first, I was pretty happy to try it but since my order came out wrong, I was pretty dissatisfied.

Costco Roast Beef Sandwich

Firsthand it looks very amazing from the outside. However, as I digged in and saw that they forgot two ingredients that really made me mad.

It’s supposed to contain:

  • Artisan Roll
  • Sliced Roast Beef
  • Onion Relish
  • Mayo/Mustard Blend
  • Lettuce
  • Roasted Cherry Tomatoes
  • Red Onions

What I was missing:

  • May
  • Red Onions

I’m not sure why I was missing those two ingredients but that tells me that someone out there is having a bad day in the kitchen and not making it with love. Anyway, let’s get to the taste.

The Taste

It has as basic Roast Beef taste and almost nothing else. As eating, it felt 90% Roast Beef and very minimally tomatoes and onion relish taste.

Improvements

I think this sandwich would be way better if for one it had the red onions, and for two it had the mayo. However, for a full improvement, it also needs about 60% more roasted cherry tomatoes and 30% more onion relish. Just to mention for a full improvement it also needs to be made with love, so this type of errors doesn’t repeat.

1 out of 5 Stars

How much better of a score can I give with defaults in the sandwich. I really think that the taste needs to be controlled so the Roast Beef is not overpowering the taste. It needs to be evened out with the other ingredients, so it comes to a complete top-notch sandwich.

Will I Get it Again?

Simply NO because I found it as a basic sandwich and nothing really special about it.

Price

The price is a little insane for $9.99 and with tax it becomes $11.01. I think a good price of $4.99 would be more reasonable for Costco Food Court Item.
