At last Costco Food Court gets a new item which is a Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie, but it replaces the Churros. Finally, it gets something new, but it replaces something old which I think the old was better than the new. The Churros was a Costco Kirkland Signature masterpiece and not many stores had them so you would get them from Costco. But the cookie now Costco is offering is just a cookie at the end which you can find similar probably anywhere. This said, I think they should just have introduced something new and not something we most likely already had before.

Costco Food Court Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie

This cookie is an absolute masterpiece and a very delicious cookie which is satisfying on every bite. There is plenty of chocolates inside and it is served hot and melty which provide nice aroma when eating. The price is $2.49 which seems a bit expensive but judging the size of this cookie it sure is worth the price. But just maybe not worth the 750 calories that it is packed with.

Sweetness

It is loaded with Bittersweet & Semisweet Chocolates but when you are eating you just taste sweetness and can’t separate one from another. This sounds like a duh! Therefore, I think they should have just put all less sweet chocolates, so it is just less sweet.

All Butter

The butter is pretty powerful in this cookie, and you can just taste heavy calories when eating. The butter helps to provide a handcrafted and homemade feeling to this giant cookie.

Texture

This is a supersize cookie and pretty thick and when you bite into it, you just get satisfied from each bite. At first, it is warm and soft with melty chocolate but as it gets cold you get crunchy and soft bites which is still delicious.

Overall

What more is there to say, perfect cookie in every way but nothing really new. Costco was already offering Kirkland Signature Cookies inside the store which came in smaller size and not served hot. But if you heat it up it is practically the same thing. And on top of that you have more to eat as it comes in a plastic container with many inside. All this said, you could just bet the churros were better off staying instead of being replaced. What do you guys think?

The Truth

I really think that the entire purpose of switching the Churros to cookie is all about the price. The only thing that was fried in the food court was the churros. The churros were perhaps the cheapest churros ever. The money placed on the oil was probably getting costly to Costco. This said, I think the Churros were way better and convenient than the cookie and that the switch is not about the cookie but about business. Costco is known for their low-price items and they don’t want to raise the price high. In this case, they just switched it to the cookie as the cookie is more expensive and doesn’t need oil to cook. All they do is place the cookie on the spinning rack that the chicken bake and pizza also go on.

Hopefully in the future they bring back the churros.
