As I was shopping around Costco, I randomly came across this Riot Energy Drinks. What grabbed my attention is that this are 100% Plant Powered drinks. As soon as I looked at the ingredients and saw that this had Tulsi, I just knew I had to try it. Tulsi is herbs that are stress relieving and energizing naturally. The Costco box comes in 2 flavors with 12 cans inside the box for $20.59.

Riot Energy from Costco

The price from Costco is just unbeatable, however I do wish that they came in more flavors. The box of 12 comes in Mango and Citrus Lime flavors.

Mango

The mango is low in carbonation and feels like pure mango juice. Almost has a watered down feeling to it. In some ways, I think it is tastier than pure Mango Juice because it is not too strong on the taste. The lightly carbonation feels super good while drinking. It has only 20% juice which is just perfect balance and perfect taste.

Citrus Lime

I am a bit confused with the Citrus Lime as I can’t really figure out the taste. In some cases, it refers me to Mountain Dew and Sierra Mist type of taste. However, on other cases it brings me to Grapefruit and Mandarin type of taste. The carbonation feels very strong on this one and it sure is very enjoyable.

Overall

Both flavors from Costco are delicious. The mango feels like it is just made to go perfect with foods. I liked both tastes and seems like there is even no food color added. This is just great, as the juices contain the color, as I would suppose.

A bit Confusion

The Citrus Lime has 40 calories, and the Mango has 25. This confuses me just as to where does the calories come from. I mean there is no sugar added, so I would only suppose that they are coming from the juices used. The beverages do have sugar, but they are from juices as I would think because there is no sugar listed in the ingredients.

The Cans are Boring

If you are the type of person that likes to look at the cans while drinking, then you will notice that these cans are pretty boring. They are just black cans with writings on it. I really think some graphics on it would provide energy just by observing it. Some graphics will provide a happier feeling while drinking.

Riot Energy from Whole Foods

As I was looking around Whole Foods I came across more flavors. The price at Whole Foods is $2.99 for just 1 can which makes it pretty expensive. A bit expensive, but I like that it contains Tulsi and that it is clean energy.
