From all of the many vegetables and fruits I give to my dog, there is one that she just loves the most. Yes, the Persian Cucumbers is just one of her favorite treats as I like to call it. Every time I make me a yogurt cucumber drink, I usually give her some of the cucumbers. Once she smells the cucumbers, she goes crazy for it. Anyway, giving my dog cucumbers takes only 3 simple steps:

  1. peel the skin of the cucumber.
  2. chop it into tiny pieces.
  3. serve!

Since my dog is almost 17 years old, I like to make it easier for her to eat and digest. Therefore, I peel the skin off and I chop it into tiny pieces.

Cucumbers for my Dog Mimi

Cucumbers are loaded with vitamins and are very crunchy yet easy to eat. Mimi’s favorite is the Persian Cucumbers which I buy them from JONES Marketplace or Super King Markets. However, If I don’t have Persian Cucumber than I just give a different cucumber from many famous stores such as VONS and Ralphs.

Fruits & Vegetables

Many people think that dogs don’t eat fruits or vegetables, yet they never looked at the dog food ingredients. If you look at the dog food ingredients, you will notice simple vegetables that you might have in the fridge already. Therefore, besides being healthy they are very beneficial which are loaded with nutrients and vitamins.

If you are unaware what fruit or vegetable is good or bad for the dog, you can simply check in with a vet. You can take your dog for an exam and ask what fruits or vegetables you can give your dog. My dog is near 17 years old, and I always give her healthy fruits and veggies. Sure, I give her dog treats all the time, but I also give her fruits and veggies.
