This John Rambo First Blood Dog Tag is the same Replica as the one from the movie. However, as much as the same it looks, it seems a bit fake to me. The damaged part on the Dog Tag has this line that surrounds it from the back. This line makes it convincing that it is done by man and not really naturally damaged on its own.

Overall, this is one amazing piece of jewelry to wear. But, since I’m a major jewelry guy, there is much more than just the way it looks. For example, this is stainless steel and that is considered cheap and low budget product. If this was in silver than it would be another story. I wish this came in the option to get it in silver because than it would be a real piece of jewelry to wear.

At the same time, I think this is based not as a piece of jewelry but as a real dog tag. In that way I could consider it.

Handmade or Not

It’s a little confusing if this is really handmade or not. On Sly Stallone Shop it is listed as handmade, but on Instagram they mention that it is machinery made. So, which is it? On top of that on the package it says that it is made in China. Just as I won’t wear stainless steel jewelry, same way I won’t wear jewelry made in China.

Looks Computer Made 

As a whole, this piece looks like its computer made. I mean just the writings are obviously typed or stamped. Therefore, the only thing else left is the outline shape which that is not really art. Handmade jewelry comes with handmade logo because if the logo is computer made than its not considered handmade. The logo says it all, however as this is a replica, there is no logo. As there is no logo, mind as well have made the entire thing on the computer and sell it cheaper.

Great Collection

As a collector I’m happy with it as a display, but not something I would wear. Regardless of how it’s made, this replica makes me feel like I’m piece of the movie. Like I’m strong and a reminder to be brave and to eat healthy too. The price is listed for $20, and the chain is 27 inches long. I do recommend this product and I feel like watching the movie now. Great movie is all I can say which means great replica. 🙂

Package

It doesn’t really have a packaging; it comes attached to paper that has art on it. The art is by John Rivoli and I like how Rambo looks on the cover. The back of the paper has Sylvester Stallone’s Signature which I love, and it says that it is the Official Dog Tag.
