Finally, excited for some new drinks that came from Zoa Energy. This Zoa Plus Pre-Workout Energy Drinks come in 3 flavors and are 200mg of natural caffeine. On top of that this is a special blend made just for pre-workout, meaning you drink this before you work out. The 3 flavors:

  • Blackberry Acai
  • Pineapple Passion Fruit
  • Mandarin Orange Grapefruit

This are 3 new flavors, and they are mixed up flavors, so excited for these new flavors. Just to mention these cans are 12oz, so they are smaller than the Original Zoa Energy Drinks.

No Creatine

What I like about this Supplement is that it has Zero Creatine. I’ve noticed many pre-workout drinks contain creatine and that’s one thing I’m trying to avoid. I feel like Creatine is for the professional world and I’m just working out for fitness health and not at a pro level.

What it Contains

  • L-Citrulline 3000mg
  • Betaine Anhydrous 1250mg
  • L-Carnitine L-Tartrate 500mg
  • Caffeine (from Green Coffee Extract) 190mg
  • Antioxidant Blend (Extracts of Green Tea, White Tea, Apple, Grapeseed) 100mg
  • Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract 60mg
  • Guayusa Leaf Extract

This are the Magic Ingredients behind the Pre-Workout that make this Superior. I’m pretty happy with the blend, I just wish they had this in sugar format instead of no sugar. Sucralose and Acesulfame Potassium is used as its artificial sugar source and I’m trying to avoid artificial sugar period.

200mg Caffeine

As much as I like what this supplement contains, I really try to avoid caffeine as much as I can. I try to consume under 100mg of caffeine in a day, but sometimes I go just triple above that. I really wish this had zero caffeine because as I work out, I’m kind of worried that caffeine is not safe during working out moments.

Gas

If I thought Caffeine was not safe, this has gas and that is another ingredient I try to fully avoid. I feel like gas has side effects which are subliminal and are the cause of many problems with just no proof. I also don’t think gas is safe for the urinary tract, but again this are just my assumption and there just is never any proof of anything when it comes with gas.

Expensive

At Zoaenergy.com this are $39.99 for pack of 12 so you can’t buy this in a variety pack. I really hope they have this in a variety pack so I can purchase all 3 flavors together. At the mean time GNC does have them and they have them being sold individually too. 🙂

Tasting

These drinks taste amazing and I like all of them. The Pineapple Passion Fruit has just the right amount of pineapple taste where its not leading the taste. Its got that balance where it tastes smooth and pleasing. The Blackberry Acai tastes like the Zoa Energy Super Berries, it’s got that tone of taste. I got the Acai taste from the second sip and on. The Mandarin Orange Grapefruit has that smooth transition of taste between the orange and grapefruit, leaving the mandarin silent in taste.

As I tried the first can, it delivered high source of energy and opened up my mind to the workout. It delivers the job as a pre-workout, but I would just prefer this with no gas, no caffeine, and sweetness from natural sources. Also, would highly want this in powder form rather from a can.
