“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.”
– Mohandas (Mahatma) Gandhi

(My Thoughts:)

When it comes to the ocean it is pretty tricky and not as clear as it may look. You may look at the beach and it may seem very clean and you can see the fishes swimming. However, you couple miles away you might not see anything because the beach water is just so dirty. It just depends on which beach you are at and in which country.

Attention

I really think that the ocean needs more attention with all of the dirt that we are putting inside. All the plastics we are not recycling are ending up in the ocean. All the trash that we don’t throw away, end up in the ocean. On top of that, all the dangerous materials like knifes or scissors that we throw away, some end up in the ocean. These items are very dangerous for the ocean environment because of humans and the fishes.

Animals

Whales end up eating all the plastics and they end up dying because of it. The fishes having fun swimming around end up eating the trashes we throw away and because of it they end up dying. The straws that end up in the ocean end up killing the turtles and other fishes. All of this animal deaths are being caused because of our mistreatment towards the environment.

Gandhi

I think that Gandhi may have his specific purpose with this quote. However, I really think that any dirt that touches the ocean ends up effecting the other parts of the ocean as well. We just may not see it, but it effects the animals that swim by, and those animals effect the other animals which ends up effecting the entire ocean.
