Jesus said, “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” – Mark 10:43

My Thoughts:

First, I want to define what servant means by dictionary. According to dictionary.com a servant means 3 things:

  1. a person employed by another, especially to perform domestic duties.
  2. a person in the service of another.
  3. a person employed by the government: a public servant.

Just to mention that it is also a noun.

Second, I want to say that being a servant doesn’t mean you are low in life. It just means you are taking orders by another person. You are basically working for someone and getting paid to do your tasks. You can even be the supervisor or the manager, the key point is you are under a company or person. Well, this is what it means to me: “you must be willing to work for someone with happy mindset and that everyone is equal, and you are just doing your role. That you respect the person above you, and you are no greater than the person above you, nor is the person above you greater than you.”
Of course, it may mean different things to different people, but in a way that’s what it means to me.

If you have a servant

This makes me think that if you have a servant to treat him good as he is working for you. You did your role by creating the duties for the person to perform, and now respect and feel the gratitude the person is doing. Regardless of what the job is, the fact that the person is performing his duties, the person is working to get the task done.

If you have a Job

If you are working, then just perform your job and duties. Do what you are paid to do and try to accomplish greater in life. We all have something unique that we like to do and shall try to get a job towards what we like.
