Veganism is not a “sacrifice.” It is a joy. – Gary L. Francione
If you are unaware what veganism means, it is the practice of trying to avoid meats. I sometimes try to be vegan as much as possible, but not all the time. There are moments when I think not eating meat is actually good for us. Besides that, everything we get from meat, we sure can get from plants as well.
Feeling
How am I feeling during my vegan days? Well, not really that well to be honest even though I feel like I’m doing something good for the planet. Sometimes when I stick to a vegan diet, I end up just craving meat after meat. However, it’s not so much bad now as new companies are coming up with beyond the meat products. Lately I noticed Panda Express with vegan Orange Chicken, it is Beyond Meat and pretty delicious too.
As bad as I feel, If I eat the beyond meat products like burgers and chickens, it’s as if I’m eating meat. Even though I’m not eating meat, it is a similar feeling. The only issue with this want to be meat products is that they are a little bit on the pricey side, and you have to make them. I want to be able to go to a drive thru and drive away with beyond meat options available.
As hard as it seems, it is getting easier and easier as the years are going by. Hopefully in the next year all of the beyond meat options are available in all restaurants. Sometimes, there are beyond meat options that actually taste better than meat.
Main issue with eating vegan is that it is pretty expensive to me. Getting a burger from McDonald’s is pretty cheap and very convenient than to prepare my own food.
