“The heart, not the head, must be the guide.” – Arthur Erickson

My Thoughts:

The heart is the muscle that keeps us going and alive. Each pump delivers us an opportunity to do something that we choose to do. It gives us the passion to love, feelings, and desire. Or maybe it’s not the heart, it is the brain in the head. Regardless which is, the key point is that it is the same blood that goes around the body, and it is the heart that pumps it. Maybe the brain is the thinker, but the blood in the thought has been rotating around the body due to the heart.

Thought

Which this starts to question me: where does the thought really come from? I mean when we are thinking to ourselves, how is that thought originated and from where does it come. Surely, it seems as if it is not connected to the body in physical ways. Therefore, it is coming from the spirit. Where else can something logically come from other than the spirit.

Which gets to my point that people who don’t believe into God, believe in the spirit. Why? Because some things in life is just not explainable such as the thought. If the thought we have is from the spirit, then the spirit is true. Therefore, it proves to people that God does exist. For those who thought or think God doesn’t exist, possibly the spirit should be good enough.

Same Thing

If you ask me, the head and heart are exactly the same. The reason why I think Arthur is saying the heart must be the guide because it comes from love. In other words, follow your love throughout your journey in life. Do the things you love. Follow your dreams of desire. If you love soccer, follow your heart and try to be a soccer player from young age.
