So, todays we are going to review Chicken Shish Kabob from Kabab Way. This restaurant Kabab Way is located on Glendale Street. There is another location on San Fernando Street, they both are in Glendale, California. They both serve the same dishes and foods, and both are super yummy.

Todays Review is #7 on the Menu

Today I’m trying number 7 on the menu, it is called Chicken Shish Kabob. Chicken is served with rice, tomato, onions, pita bread, salad, and your choice of salad dressing. Which they have 2 dressings: House Dressing and Ranch. I recommend the house dressing because its their specialty and its super good.

In the picture below you can see Anaheim pepper and cucumber yogurt in the image. Those two I added it, they are sold separate. I always add the Anaheim pepper and every time choose something else for the side. One day I might choose the cucumber yogurt, another day garlic sauce, or hummus, just depends what I’m craving as a side dish. A lot of times I get their pickled vegetables for the side because I love the taste also love their tomato – cucumber salad, and potatoes. I like to mix the tomato – cucumber salad with the rice, it gives a nice touch.

Sumac Seasoning = A Nice Twist of Flavor

Also, in this review video I am adding Sumac seasoning to the plate. Sumac gives a lemonish flavor but very lightly and is natural. It adds a flavor to the rice and since its natural I feel like I’m providing my body with healthy ingredient to repair and use for its needs. You can ask for sumac at the front counter, however I have my own since I eat a lot of rice so I like to add some to the rice.

If you want to buy your own sumac check the ingredients, try to get one that is only sumac. Because, there are many with added ingredients, choose the one that is plain sumac with no other ingredient. They sell them in almost every store, you can even find it at Walmart or Target.

My Way of Eating this Meal

The way I eat this meal is first I make my very own pita wrap: The stuff I add to the pita wrap are:

  • chicken
  • onions
  • rice
  • Anaheim pepper
  • sumac seasoning

this is my creation that I make with the pita bread. Then I get some Anaheim pepper and eat it with the chicken with some rice and pita. After I’m done with the chicken I cut the tomato on the rice and eat it with the rice. The tomato with rice is a nice kick of flavor. Then I add some sumac to the rice and I add House dressing to the salad and to the rice. I eat the rice and then the salad and I finish with the cucumber yogurt. But, every time I eat differently because I order different stuff from the menu.

5 out of 5

As my review goes a perfect 5 out of 5 Stars and I recommend this place to everyone to try. I love almost everything here and I always get something different since I like most of their menu items. Well I normally get the Shish Plates, Love it! 🙂
