“Forgiveness is an act of self-love.” – Don Miguel Ruiz

My Thoughts:

I just wish it was like that in the job world. I’m a big fan of forgiveness and I think it is exactly as Don Miguel Ruiz says it. However, let’s take a look at the job world and we would understand that some jobs just don’t forgive. For example, let’s say you are a security guard at a hospital, and you mess up. Instead of forgiving you they give you a write-up. These write-ups add up until they reach to the maximum and they end up kicking you out of the job.

Job Friends

In the job world I really think forgiveness doesn’t go a long way. On the other hand, if you are a supervisor and you mess up, chances are it’s okay. Why? Because the management works with the supervisors, and they become friends. This type of friendship forgives one another which of course it is wrong. This happens in all jobs as the management and supervisors work together. They form a friendship bond, and they get everyone underneath them in trouble, but not themselves. In other words, this is a form of favoritism.

Co-Workers

For this reason, it is called co-workers and not friend workers. It is important to understand that everyone should be fair. If a supervisor could get away from being in trouble, so should regular worker. Just to mention this is why I believe most workplaces are corrupted.

The real answer to this is that it is just not fair. Yes, I agree with fairness, but it seems like it gets a little out of hand during jobs.

I wish the world was more of a fair place. Realistically, I think we all should follow all rules and regulations at work. Technically, we spend most of the time at work, we just haven’t realized it.
