“Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love.” – Psalms 33:18

Many people think that being afraid is actually a bad thing. But I tell you it’s not because it’s given to us from above. It is a feeling that we are meant to have and often It has a purpose. I think its purpose is to strengthen us, to give us hope and to make us who we need to be. I think those who are afraid are chosen by God for a purpose they have to deliver later on in life. For example, He makes specific people afraid, so they can turn strong and overcome the fear because later in life they have a bigger challenge to go through. In order to go through the bigger task, they first need to be strong enough. This is why I think those with fear are chosen.

In Romans 5:3‭-‬5 we learn that suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope. This is to summarize that he has given us fear so we can learn and overcome which will give us a character.

Fearing the Lord is Good?

I think so, as it gives us the power to feel that he is from above. Again, some may fear, and some may not, it has to do with the strength of the person. But those that fear him, that the Lord is with you and his watching over you. We need to live every day, as if God is right by us. As if he is next to us and our actions will be judged. By this mindset, everyone would live a more righteous point of view in life. Try to act and behave every day, just as if God is by your side and next to you. Because he is.
