“Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.” – Luke 3:11

This is the reason why I donate a lot of my cloth or left-over stuff that I don’t need any more to Goodwill. I have this rule where every 5 years I like to replace all of my cloth with new ones. I do it slowly as I buy new cloth and donate the rest to Goodwill. Besides cloth, I like to donate anything that I have that I no longer need or don’t use. For example, if I have a toy that I bought 1 year ago, I will probably donate it and purchase a new one. By doing so, I feel good about it as I’m helping someone who may want it.

Donate

Couple stores I know that take donations are Goodwill, Out of the Closet, and Salvation Army stores. From this 3 that I know, I usually take it to Goodwill because it’s the closest one to where I live. When I donate to Goodwill, they resell it in a much less price that is affordable. For example, If I have a $70 t-shirt, they might sell it for under 10 bucks. I’m not sure exactly the prices that they put on the stuff I donate, but I know someone could get it in an affordable price. This alone makes me feel good about donating. On top of all this, if something they don’t sell, they recycle it or send it Free to someone in need. Goodwill has separate programs of its own where they put to use everything they receive to someone in need.

So, next time you have anything laying around that you don’t need, just donate it. I like to clear everything from my room and replace with new stuff, every 5 years.
