“Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.” – Proverbs 13:3 ESV
A lot of time we may want to curse at people, and it’s those times when we should think twice. Instead of cursing or having foul words out of our mouths we should guard it. It is better to feel safe about guarding and saying the right words, than to be judged faulty. Every word that comes out of your mouth you should think twice about it. It is better to say bad words inside of you where no one knows what you’re saying than to say it loud. However, even the words you say inside of you, just maybe someone from above can hear those words too.
What does Ruin Mean?
In this Proverbs I think ruin is referring to going to hell. Many people have different versions of hell, but I think Earth is Hell. I think all of us on Earth might possibly be in hell, but again I’m not exactly sure. So, how do we go to heaven? The answer is easy, preserve your life by guarding your mouth. That is just one way from many more ways.
What about in the Movies?
I think those who curse in the movies, its exactly the same as not in the movie. It could be even worse, because what you say gets shared and played by other people. On top of that, you can’t say sorry for saying those bad words in movies because you can’t take it back. Therefore, if you plan on becoming famous, think of saying correct words even when you are famous. If you plan on becoming an actor or actress, then plan on being in movies where you don’t curse with your mouth. Once you know it’s a sin, there is no apologies for it.
