I picked up this Joie De Vivre Macarons from Costco which comes in a great price of just $13.99. Nice blue box with stars all over it and there are 36 Macarons in the box. All of the flavors are the same which is Vanilla, but I would prefer variety of flavors. Since chocolate Macarons are my favorite, I would prefer some chocolate Macarons along with maybe other flavors such as Strawberry.
Vanilla Flavored Macarons by Joie De Vivre from Costco
I fully love the ingredients as it is much cleaner than alternatives. However, I do wish that it didn’t have any Triethyl Citrate in the ingredients. That is used for the texture which can be found in many products besides food which is why I don’t really trust it. Other than that, everything else is absolutely looking great to me. I especially love that there is no artificial food coloring used.
Macarons Colors
I fully love the colors as they are red, blue and white/bronze. The top layer is white and the bottom layer is blue. The middle colors are like white and bronze mixed together. Great joyful colors which makes it stand out and look bright.
The Taste
They all have the same Vanilla flavors and I love that it is naturally flavored. As eating, you get the vanilla flavor along with this other flavor which seems nutty. Then you look at the ingredients and are like oh okay it is almonds. Has that nutty flavor along with vanilla and very addicting which you want to eat none stop.
Authentic French Recipe
It says product of France then it says almonds from California, so you get a bit confused. So now you start to wonder is it made in France or is just the recipe from France or what? I would prefer almonds from France rather than California because I live in California and eat almonds here all the time.
Overall, great tasting Macarons full of flavors and quality you can taste on each bite. Also, check out Costco Valentine’s Day Macarons & Tipiak French Macarons.
