I kept coming across this Morning Buns from Costco which comes in a great price of just $9.99 for a box of 9. It just kept calling me so this time I figured I’ll give it a try to see just what it is about. Well, great taste as expected and would get again as got great mixture of plans with it. Also, the size of each one is pretty big too any not some tiny pastry.

Morning Bun is Great Anytime of the Day

I know it is called Morning Bun but it sure is great for lunch, dinner or late night as well.

Warm or Cold

On the directions it says to heat it up for 5-7 minutes on 350 degrees. However, I found it just enough at 350 degrees for just 1 minute.

The flavors when it is Cold

When eating cold, it has buttery taste along with cinnamon, sugar and this silent raison taste that seems to be coming from the cream like texture. However, silent orange flavor does come and go but sometimes its fully silent on the orange part of the taste.

When it is Served Warm

When it is hot, the cinnamon becomes smooth and heartwarming. The buttery flavor becomes richer, and the croissant breading becomes crunchy. Also, the orange flavors get stronger and you can grasp the orange zest out of it. The raison like flavor disappears and the orange just gets stronger when it is warm.

I prefer both ways but since I’m lazy I just eat it cold as it is just as good warm or room temperature.

Mix Things up

You can play a lot with this pastry as you can mix things up. You can add jam to it along with whip cream and turn it to a new level of pastry. It’s got that flavors you just can’t go wrong with.

Delicious and goes great with coffee or energy drinks.
