I was smelling something fishy and walked right to it. The Blue Hill Bay Natural Smoked WHITEFISH from Costco which costs at $10.99 per pound. The one I picked up was about 18-19 inches and at 1.60 pounds which costed $17.58. Great price and quality from Costco Wholesale as always. Every time I walked by it, it was as if our eyes met between me and the fish, so I knew I just had to give it a try. It is vacuumed in a plastic container with all ingredients and information on the cover.

Smoked Whitefish from Costco

What I like about eating fish is that it gives me a reason to avoid fish oil. I usually take fish oil 5 days a week except for the days I eat fish or ocean food.

Great Lakes

It says that the fish is wild caught in the Great Lakes which Great Lakes is in United States of America. These are lakes that connect to the Atlantic Ocean and its freshwater fish. Just great for me and I can’t wait to try more Blue Hill Bay fish and seafood.

Fish is:

  • ready to eat
  • fully cooked
  • naturally smoked
  • does not contain artificial preservatives
  • comes with bones which full skeleton is in there

Ingredients:

  • Whitefish
  • Salt
  • Natural Hardwood Smoke

Just 3 simple ingredients which doesn’t have any added artificial colors or sugars. Finally, a fish with no fake colors and sugars.

Very Smoky

You can just really taste and smell the smoky taste to it as it’s just so smoked. Overall, the smokiness dominates the flavor with a light salty taste and notes of sweetness that comes from the smokiness. Satisfies the fishy craving in the best way possible.

You just have to be extra careful when eating so you don’t accidently swallow the bones. Nice smoky flavor to the fish with soft and flaky meat. 5 STARS!
