Krispy Kreme came up with some interesting doughnuts which is the Pumpkin Spice Collection, and it is limited edition. For those who are in the season of Fall and just can’t imagine life without pumpkin than this is for you. There are 4 different types of doughnuts and all of them are as you would guess: A Pumpkin Spice.
Pumpkin Spice Collection Doughnuts
One thing for sure about these doughnuts is that it brings me closer to Thanksgiving and Halloween. It’s as if it’s preparing me for those holidays along with the wonderful season of Fall.
The Collection:
- Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed Doughnut – It has a plain taste with just a hint of the pumpkin spice and just a tiny bit of the spice that is almost silent.
- Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut – Another basic taste of doughnut just a hint of the pumpkin taste except this time it has a more natural form of pumpkin taste.
- Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Swirl Doughnut – This one feels like you made it at home and added your own cheese on it. Kind of has that homemade feeling to it that welcomes you to enjoy more. It has cinnamon on top, but you can’t even taste the cinnamon. It’s as if it’s a Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed Doughnut except with added cheese on top.
- Pumpkin Spice Maple Pecan Doughnut – You can’t taste any pumpkin here and the entire taste is just purely maple syrup. The pecans on top are candied pecans and they are crunchy, but I feel like they could have been cooked more so they could have been burned. This one doesn’t really feel like a pumpkin spice flavor, but sure is a must to be part of the collection.
Overall
None of them really had any spice flavor to it. All of the pumpkin taste was pretty low and not strong that it overpowered the taste. Very nicely balanced on the pumpkin taste. However, the spice was kind of silent on all of them. Especially the Pumpkin Spice Maple Pecan Doughnut which didn’t even have any pumpkin taste.
There also are pumpkin flavored coffee drinks along with these doughnuts. However, something tells me that regular coffee would suit better with these doughnuts just so the pumpkin taste doesn’t become overpowering. However, if you want to go all out, I think the pumpkin flavored coffees are awesome.
Limited Time
I was not sure what to get but I decided to go with these limited time doughnuts to give me a fresh Fall Feeling.

Krispy Kreme Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut
As 2024 goes, Krispy Kreme returns its Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut and this time I got it from Ralphs. The box comes with half a dozen which the price was $13.49 and all the same flavor doughnuts. Even though it’s got artificial flavors it almost feels so authentic kind of like you baked it at home. Natural tone of pumpkin flavor and low cinnamon flavor but strong sugar sweetness. I love this doughnut a lot, but I really think it needs less sugars. It’s got the craving taste, and I can’t stop eating. I think I’m going to go for round 2 on the box. 🙂
