Cheesy Garlic Steak Sandwich is number 31 on the Subway menu and this may sound scary. However, when you eat it is more snacky than scary. This sandwich is loaded with double cheddar cheese sauce and when combined with SubKrunch it’s almost as if you’re biting into nacho chips. Pretty delicious sandwich which I got Footlong and it is 1010 calories. In some ways, it kind of feels like you are eating Philly Cheesesteak except in a nacho cheesy way. Very good sandwich that I would suggest giving it a try.

Since, I have the new Lay’s Messi Crisp Taco Potato Chips, I decided to eat the chips with the Roasted Garlic Aioli Sauce. If you are wondering just exactly what does this new sauce taste like? Well, it tastes just like Ranch except in more garlic flavor. Pretty good sauce and great on the sandwich too.

Contains

  • Toasted Artisan Italian Bread
  • Steak
  • Red Onions
  • Green Peppers
  • 2X Cheddar Cheese Sauce
  • Roasted Garlic Aioli Sauce
  • SubKrunch

The sandwich comes toasted which is my preferred method especially with cheddar cheese sauce. When eating, I noticed one side had low green peppers and the other side had low red onions. I really think it would be better if both sides were balanced with a lot of green peppers and red onions.

Garlic Flavor

If you are wondering just how garlicky this is? Well, it’s almost as if there is no garlic. Kind of like it’s barely there when you eat it. However, here and there the garlic flavor does come and go but doesn’t last.

The main control flavor of the sandwich is the double cheddar cheese sauce. It just dominates the entire taste of the sandwich. The Roasted Garlic Aioli Sauce kind of is low on the flavor when combined with the cheddar cheese. At the same time, both sauces mix pretty amazing together and this is like a new learning curve of understanding just how well they blend together. Maybe next time, I will mix these sauces together again.

This sandwich was similar to spicy nacho chicken sandwich.
