This McDonald’s The Saweetie Meal was nothing out of the blue. It is celebrity meal that McDonald’s is offering and this time they choose artist Saweetie for the meal line up. The Meal consists of 6 items:

  1. Big Mac
  2. 4 Chicken McNuggets
  3. Iced out Sweetie ‘N Sour Sauce
  4. Normal Tangy BBQ Sauce
  5. Medium Fries
  6. Medium Sprite

Of course I’m not going to tolerate with Medium Size Meal, so I went ahead and updated everything Supersize. And, unlikely they didn’t supersize my fries, they only supersized my Sprite, which kind of pissed me off about it.

Anyway, in the meal I got Iced Out Saweetie ‘N Sour sauce, but the BBQ sauce was not iced out. I first thought it was a mistake and McDonald’s was not prepared, but later I found out only the Sweet ‘N Sour is iced out and not the BBQ. Icing out only 1 sauce out of 2 kind of doesn’t make sense, I mean its a Celebrity Meal after all.

Nothing New

I’m not really sure what to say about this Celebrity Meal, except for nothing was new. All they really did is add 4 pieces of McNuggets to the Big Mac Meal & they choose the 2 sauces for you. Unlike the BTS Meal, which came with 2 new sauces, The Saweetie Meal came with absolutely nothing new. The Saweetie N’ Sour Sauce is actually Sweet N’ Sour Sauce, except the lid is Iced out. The Tangy BBQ Sauce is not Iced out, yet its included with the meal. I feel like they had no idea of how to exactly ice out the BBQ sauce, which doesn’t make this meal complete.

3 Reasons why I’m kind of Upset

  1. The bag was not Saweetie edition – The Celebrity meal is suppose to come with its own special bag that is different than the other McDonald’s bags. My bag was not the celebrity edition bag, which is kind of killing the purpose of this meal.
  2. No iced out BBQ Sauce – I mean the meal comes with 2 sauces, Sweet N’ Sour & BBQ Sauce. The Sweet ‘N Sour sauce is iced out, but not the BBQ Sauce which completely makes no sense, what so ever.
  3. Not Supersized – I asked them to Supersize my entire meal, what do I get only a Supersized Sprite. I feel like was I not clear enough?

All said, I’m not in any way upset with Saweetie about the Celebrity Meal. In fact, I think she was real about how she eats her meal & wanted this Celebrity meal to be her way. Which I think that’s what its all about. I’m only upset because McDonald’s seemed like they were not ready for this Celebrity line up from day 1. McDonald’s was clearly not prepared, but I hope next time I get this meal while its in season that they give it to me with the Saweetie Bag that is suppose to come with the meal.

Enjoyed the Sprite 

I liked how she choose Sprite to be part of the meal because it gave a nice balance for the meal. The Big Mac itself is sweet & the Sauces for the nuggets are Sweet. So as everything was on the sweet side, the Sprite gave a nice balance for the sweetness. If I got my usual which is Powerade, then everything would have been on the sweet side. As it was Sprite, it really evened out all the sweetness.
