The McDonald’s McPlant Burger is currently under the testing stage and is located in only couple places. One of the places that offers this in California is the McDonald’s at Manhattan Beach. The address is: 1203 Artesia Blvd, Manhattan Beach, California. I ordered the large size combo which came with large fries and drink, and it was $10.69. With tax the entire meal in large size came out to be $11.71 which I think it’s okay price for this meal.

McPlant 

I am pretty impressed with the taste and quality of this burger. The burger came with:

  • Buns with Sesame Seeds
  • Beyond Meat Mcplant Patty
  • Pickles
  • Lettuce
  • Onions
  • Tomatoes
  • Cheese
  • Mayonnaise
  • Mustard
  • Ketchup

With all these ingredients used in this burger, I can’t really think of anything I would want to add. It has all I would expect and extremely happy with the sesame seeds on the buns. I was not expecting any sesame on the buns, but this came in a surprise, and I loved it.

The Taste 

Nothing out of the strange here, I was impressed that I couldn’t feel any odd difference compared to a real hamburger. It’s as if I was eating a cheeseburger and enjoying it too. My first taste I grasped on this was peas, then from second bite as the tomatoes, onions, and all ingredients got together, the peas taste started fading. Great taste overall and as a substitute to meat, I think this was great. It kind of gave me a Big Mac taste, except of course with no meat.

One Problem 

I only found one problem with this McPlant, which is the size. As this is all plants, I’m not really getting full eating it. I think almost double the size would make me feel fuller. I think if it was like 7-inch diameter this would be a perfect size for this plant-based burger.

Do I recommend 

Yes, I found this pretty delicious and as I’m trying to avoid meat whenever possible, this is on the right track. However, I really found McDonald’s late in this beyond-meat foods. Most fast-food restaurants have been in the meatless game for some time now. McDonald’s came a little late to this, but I think they delivered great quality burger.

Lastly 

I just wanted to add that, as this is supposed to have mustard, I didn’t really find any. Unless it was mixed with the cheese, or I just didn’t notice it probably. I’m not sure, but I feel like the mustard was not in the burger.
