This KFC Beyond Meat Nuggets tastes almost like the real thing, except of course it’s not chicken. It’s what I like to call fake chicken, but tastes almost as if its real chicken. As I was eating this for the first time, I was expecting to have a crunchy breading, but it was too soft. The size of the nuggets was pretty big, however just a little way too soft.

The chicken breading and the beyond nuggets breading are way off from one another. If the beyond nuggets breading is the same as the chicken, I think this would be just amazing. Since it was a bit too soft, I really think it’s not the right texture for a nugget.

I got the 6-piece combo which was $9.99 and came with the beyond nuggets, fries, and drink. I find this a bit too expensive for just 6 pieces and I think maybe 30% off would sound better. 🙂 Anway, as I was eating, my taste buds were craving Mac & Cheese for some reason. That said, I really feel like Mac & Cheese should come automatically with this combo.

Not Clear What It’s Made Of 

As far as Beyond Meat Products go, I’m really not sure exactly what this are based on. I’ve noticed most fake meats are based of Soy or Fungus. However, with this Nuggets I’m exactly not sure what material is really based of.

It’s Good 

I think the Chicken Taste is nicely done, just some attention needs to be on the texture part. Crunchiness is the key when it comes to nuggets.

Overall, I think this are a good idea to have in the menu that way you can have a veggie option to choose from. Sometimes, when you are with a couple of people there is always one who is vegetarian. For those times I think this can be a win situation.

Sauces

I really love Buffalo Sauce, so I asked them for Buffalo Sauce, but they said they don’t have any. However, they have buffalo wings so I asked if I could have some buffalo sauce on the side and they said, “NO!”

As Nuggets go, many people are used to eating nuggets with variety of sauces. Therefore, I really think KFC needs way more sauces to go just hand in hand with this Beyond Meat Nuggets.
