Jack in the Box brings the biggest challenge for Big Mac and it is the Big Smashed Jack. The name says it all as it is pretty much double the calories of Big Mac. I’m surprised this took this long for a challenge to be as big as Big Mac can get, except bigger. It comes with exactly the same ingredients as Big Mac this included triple layer of breads too. A battle ready to begin, let’s start.

Jack in the Box Big Smashed Jack Vs McDonald’s Big Mac

As you hold the Big Smashed Jack you can feel just how big it really is. Even when you squeeze it, it is hard to bite into since it’s just so big. That said, I highly recommend getting some drink ready because you are going to need it.

What it contains:

  • two 1/4lb beef patties
  • Cheeses
  • Pickles
  • Lettuce
  • Onions
  • Jack’s Boss Sauce
  • Triple Brioche Bun

Everything is almost perfect except for that it needs some tomatoes to make it fully compete. Very flavorful and the Jack’s Boss Sauce is giving me a hint of mayo type of flavors. If you are hungry, this burger satisfies every bite.

As big as it is, I decided to compare with the Big Mac. Well whatever Big Mac has, Big Smashed Jack has more. It has bigger and more onions, more lettuce, more pickles. On top of that more beef as it is two quarter pounder beef patties.

The Difference

Big Smashed Jack has Brioche Buns while Big Mac has Big Mac Buns which has sesame seeds on it. Jack’s Boss Sauce has a Mayo type of flavors while Big Mac’s Mac Sauce has mustard type of flavors. Big Smashed Jack is 2 quarter pounder patties while McDonald’s is 1/10 lb. patties. That’s prety much it as everything else seems to be the same, except different taste.

Just to mention Big Smashed Jack is 1200 Calories while Big Mac is 590.
