Every year I came across this David’s Cookies butter pecan meltaways and this time I figures it’s time for a try. Everyone was getting these cookies and I realized there is no bypassing this year. As previous years were, I think the cookies came in different color containers, this year they are only in red color. Best of all, you can reuse the container for other snacks and it’s kind of like recycling in a way. Good looking container as well in holiday color, now let’s dive in.
David’s Cookies butter pecan meltaways
it says that they melt in your mouth but it depends on how you eat it.
- As a whole – if you eat it as a whole they melt in your mouth except for the pecans (duh!) The pecans are crunchy, and your mouth starts to get buttery as not only they taste like butter, but they are buttery.
- bite by bite – if you bite into the cookies, they don’t feel like they are melting and you don’t get the buttery mouth as compared to eating it as a whole. You get the same taste just not the same feeling of experience of aroma.
Now, all this said I really think that these cookies are meant to be eaten as a whole and not piece by piece. They are super buttery and it is made with real butter.
Artificial Ingredients
I did see artificial ingredients in the label which kind of ruins it for me. As this look like they are handmade, I just expect them to taste that way as well. One cookie is 80 calories and about 64 cookies in the container.
4 Stars
Everything is great except for few ingredients and the taste is just amazing. Great holiday dessert and I highly suggest giving it a try. There is a lot in the circle container, and they go good with coffee as well.
