Celsius introduces Essentials Energy Drinks which come in bigger size cans of 16 Fl Oz instead of 12. However, they are also boosted on the caffeine with 270mg of caffeine from the normal 200. If you ask me, even 200 is out of control and that no energy drink should pass 160mg caffeine just to be on the safe side. What I love about Essentials is that they come with amino acids which is basically food for the muscles. Many flavors to choose from which means you will just never get bored.
Not the Best Quality
Celsius Essentials contain artificial sweeteners, and you can see preservative in the ingredients. Some ingredients that you just don’t know exactly what they are. On top of that, not exactly clear on the source of caffeine used. Some might wonder if the added vitamins are synthetic. Well, for what I can say is that there is always a better choice depending on the person’s needs.
Let’s take a giant jump to the flavors and taste.
Grape Slush
This flavor is just like candy grape along with a twist of slushie flavor that comes at the end. I picked it up from 7-Eleven for a very good price and it was just too much caffeine for me. A bit too strong on caffeine but just great flavor. Almost felt like Jolly Rancher grape candy like flavor with slushie at the end. Well, this one is kind of mind blowing as the color of the drink is green and not purple. Usually, purple is the color we are used to seeing when it comes to grape flavored drinks. However, we can just pretend it is white or green grape flavor and not purple. At the same time, the can has a purple color twist on the top which only makes you to think of purple.
