Carl’s Jr. Introduces new line of pineapple burgers and they are just very tropical with Teriyaki sauces. New Pineapple Teriyaki Burgers which come in many varieties. There is a Single Teriyaki Burger Combo, Double, Big Angus and Char Chicken Combos. I’m so used to eating Teriyaki Chicken that it’s hard to believe I’m eating beef instead of chicken. The teriyaki sauce flavor is just so meant to be with chicken as that’s what I’ve just eating the most. However, I’m just super ready to try them with beef and to see what all the yummy beef is about.

Carl’s Jr. Big Angus Teriyaki Burger Combo

As my first line of burger goes, I went all out with the 1/3 lb. real Angus Beef Patty. Well, hard to believe is beef in here as I keep getting a chicken flavor from the Teriyaki Sauce. I’m just not sure what it is but Teriyaki has a tone of chicken made taste to it. Anway, this is pretty good and pineapple is not overriding the taste.

Contains:

  • Potato Bun
  • Angus Beef Patty
  • Sliced Grilled Pineapple
  • Teriyaki Sauce
  • Melted Swiss Cheese
  • Onions
  • Tomatoes
  • Lettuce
  • Mayonnaise

As you eat, the mayonnaise is just very silent in sauce flavor as the teriyaki sauce just dominates. The Angus Beef Patty doesn’t really provide the beefy taste with the Teriyaki Sauce. The cheese is almost silent because the teriyaki sauce is pretty strong. Everything else is just perfect except for one thing which is that it needs more onions. I think it needs double amount of onions because the onions are mixing very well with the teriyaki sauce. All this said, I really think that it also needs a different bun rather than the potato buns. I think some special tropical bread would be just okay and maybe with some seeds on top.

Pineapple

The pineapple is sliced and grilled and not too strong on the flavor. It is kind of small and not too thick as well. Just perfect and has a nice fresh taste to it. Nicely grilled with the grill lines on it which I’m hoping they are real grilled lines. Pretty sweet in taste but not too sweet which makes it just right.
