“But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.” – 1 Timothy 6:6-10
I just love this Phrase from the bible, “we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world.” This is a reminder that we didn’t come to Earth with stuff with us other than our naked body and soul. Which means that we should not fall into the temptation to get what we want to show off or what is unnecessary. Instead, we should do what is holy and what benefits others. For the stuff that we have that grabs an evil eye is that stuff we possibly do not need. Grabbing an evil eye is really a sign that maybe you don’t need what is grabbing the evil eye.
Money
You may want millions of dollars, but there is more to money than just having it. For the people who have all the money but put it on the wrong use are probably going to pay for it in the afterlife. I think the afterlife is the outcome of what we do here on Earth. Not only what we do, but what we show to the people. We need to focus on how to be successful in our mind and not just have money. After all we came naked, and we leave naked.
