In the world of Boba, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf introduces its version of this special balls. They have different names and all are pretty much the same thing. Just balls in coffee or tea that sweetens and adds more flavor to the beverage. However, what I’ve noticed is that most of this boba’s or balls are pretty much full of artificial ingredients. You may have heard of word pearls before which that’s just another word to it. Well, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is calling it Boba so that’s what I’ll just call it from now on.
The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf – Brown Sugar Boba
If you want to try the Boba all you have to do is add it to your drink. The add on price is $1 which is pretty fair and comes in a good amount of boba’s inside. Since I have been getting the drink a lot, I’ve noticed they get the Boba and add brown sugar syrup to it and therefore it forms its name: Brown Sugar Boba.
Ingredients
I got the ingredients for both the brown sugar syrup pump and the boba, so I found it just too many ingredients. I like to keep it simple, and this boba’s are just loaded with ingredients. Luckly, there are no artificial sweeteners as I just can’t take any. However, now I’m in the process of avoiding artificial flavors and this boba’s have just that. At the same time, it’s kind of okay if I were to compare with many store boba’s.
So Good
I normally get the cold brew coffee with almond milk and with the touch of boba, it just perfects in flavor of the sweetness. The boba’s have sweet taste of brown sugar and are not really too big in size. However, with normal size straw they don’t fit inside so you would expect to get the bigger size straw. They are pretty chewy and have a very nice texture to it. Just boba perfection except I wish the ingredients were a bit cleaner too.
