As the Dubai Chocolate is getting more viral, I decided to try the Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream Bar from Baskin Robbins. So far, the only Baskin Robbins I know that carries this ice cream is the one in Glendale and Burbank in California. Maybe more have it as it is getting more viral day to day. However, this was a unique experience and pretty good too which I want another one right now. At the same time, the price is so high costing at $9.99 that you get shy to buy it.

Dubai Chocolate Ice Cream is Pistachio and Knafeh Style

If you are wondering what this ice cream consists of? Well, there is a tag inside the freezer that says exactly what it is:

  • Pistachio Almond Ice Cream, a Layer of Pistachio Cream with Knafeh Dipped in Milk Chocolate

The Taste

Surprisingly, it doesn’t taste like pistachio but what I’m getting is coffee and cherry flavors. For some reason, all ingredients together add up to coffee-like taste along with dark cherry flavor that comes and goes from the knafeh. Sometimes, I’m getting sunflower flavors from the knafeh but it’s this cherry hint of taste that comes and goes. I love the milky chocolate on the outside.

Texture

This ice cream is soft and crunchy at the same time. The outside dipped chocolate is soft along with the ice cream inside which is also soft. However, the green knafeh is crunchy and pretty thick too. It is a lot of the knafeh and not some tiny bit.

Decorative

I love the way it looks as it is like chocolate and ice cream put together. I guess you can call it a hybrid dessert. It has this gold glitter on top which looks so astonishing.

Overall

Great tasting ice cream but I feel like the crunch is a bit too strong on the knafeh. And it can hurt teeth as you are biting through cold ice cream layer too. I would prefer the knafeh to be everywhere in the ice cream rather than all squeezed together on top. This way you don’t have to use biting power to bite through it. I fully loved it and will probably get it again.
