In the world of sandwiches comes one a bit bizarre and a bit buzzy. Well, it’s hot honey sandwiches from Subway which you would only suppose what exactly is hot honey? As the name says it all, is honey with a bit spice kick to it. Well, I decided to give this buzz a try and there are two to choose from which are available limited time. One is Pepperoni and the other is Chicken and let’s buzz our way right to these sandwiches.

Subway Hot Honey Pepperoni Sandwich

I decided to try the Hot Honey Pepperoni first because I’m kind of used to Pizza with Hot Honey and Pepperonis. Sometimes pizza can be good with honey so I just supposed this was going to be similar. Well, this one was a bit off and for some reason the honey and pepperoni didn’t really mix together very well. It kind of felt like something was missing. It’s as if there is dressing inside the sandwich that’s missing.

No Honey Flavor

For some reason the hot honey didn’t add any flavor to the sandwich other than adding sweetness to it. For short, it felt like you just added sugar to the sandwich. Sure, every now and then a spice flavor came and disappeared. However, it’s as if there is no dressing in the sandwich at all and has this empty space of no flavor. Which makes you just want to crave some dressing to come and fill in the gap of the missing flavor.

Contains:

  • Toasted Italian Herbs & Cheese Bread

  • Tomatoes
  • Red Onions
  • Hot Honey

Subway Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich

Wow! This one was it exactly the opposite of the Pepperoni one and this one delivered full of flavors on each bite. You can get a bit of the honey taste but the spiciness of the creamy sriracha just dominates and takes the lead in flavor. So good from start to finish and feels unique and different experience of a sandwich. I like all the ingredients put together with flavors of sweetness, spiciness and some saltiness coming from the SubKrunch.

Contains:

  • Toasted Artisan Italian Bread
  • Rotisserie-Style Chicken
  • 2X Monterey Cheddar
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes
  • Red Onions
  • Hot Honey
  • Creamy Sriracha
  • SubKrunch

If there is one I recommend it is of course the Hot Honey Chicken. Also, the Hot Honey Chicken has SubKrunch was I got extra on the side and it just tastes like Fritos Corn Chips. Great Sandwiches here by Subway.
