Finally, I found Baru Nuts at Costco and it is kind of low in price as usually this are super expensive. From Costco it feels like 50% off which means you can buy two and feel like you bought one. The price at Costco is 17.99 for one bag of 1.5 lbs. Well, these nuts feel like they vanished and had made it back to us. Extremely rare nuts that is very hard to find nearly in any store. Just walk to any market and chances are these nuts won’t be there.

Baru Nuts

Tastes like in-between flavors from peanuts, cashews and corn nuts. However, I find this even better than peanuts because you don’t get tired of them. I can’t eat peanuts everyday as I get tired of it. So far, with Baru Nuts I haven’t been tired of eating them almost daily. They come dry roasted and ready to eat. Only two ingredients which are Baru Nuts along with Sea Salt. I just wish it didn’t have salt at all because I tend to try to avoid salt whenever I can. However, I like that the Sea Salt feels a bit minimal.

No Information

There is no information on the bag from who makes the nuts. It just says that it is product of Bolivia and Brazil. However, online at Costco Site it mentions that the Brand for this Baru Nuts is Red River Foods.

Love Them

If you never tried them, I highly suggest trying them as they are healthy and rare. On top of that, supports wildlife habitats.

I love them and happy I got them. I eat them as is or sometimes I eat them with chocolate. Most of the time, I like to get Hershey’s Chocolate Kisses and add 1 or 2 Baru Nuts to it and it’s a lovely perfection. I usually eat one handful at a time about 3 times a week.

Sometimes, I feed them to the squirrels to give them different nutrients from different nuts.
