Prime Hydration Drinks introduces the ICE versions which is supposed to be lighter and more refreshing. There are 3 flavors as a start which is Red Chill, Blue Chill, and Orange. As I have tried them all I found that all of them have one thing in common which is that they come with a twist of sour flavors. Also, if you have tried Prime before you may have noticed just how extremely sweet they are. Well, this ICE versions have less sweetness but more sourness to it.
Red Chill – Blue Chill – Orange
They all are pretty much the same thing which all of them come packed with artificial sweeteners. Also, they have total of 1 gram added sugars to it which I guess the artificial sweeteners wasn’t enough. The sweeteners are Sucralose and Acesulfame potassium which is a thumbs down as they are not fully healthy. Not sure why they don’t use natural sweeteners like stevia leaf extract or monk fruit but these artificial sweeteners always have some sort of side effect to them.
- Red Chill – This flavor tastes like cherry with a sour touch to it.
- Blue Chill – Tastes like berries with the blue side of berries which the blueberry dominates and has that touch of sourness to it.
- Orange – Not sure why this one is not called Chill, but it has a watered-down orange taste to it. I guess that’s why it doesn’t have the chill to its name because it’s watered down ice as a melted water flavor with kick of orange.
