I’m fully ready for Jamba Pumpkin Smoothies as they just make Fall complete. In a way it brings me closer to Halloween and Thanksgiving which just feels great with every sip. However, I noticed that every year there just isn’t much spice going on. As we are aware that pumpkin and spice just fall right together in place. But with these pumpkin smoothies I’m just not really getting much of the spice part as I would have expected.
Pumpkin Smash
This one needs no introduction as it’s a tradition where every year Jamba brings it during Fall Season. This time I decided to give more attention to the details and of course it doesn’t deliver the spice as I expected. It’s as if you just want to sprinkle some cinnamon on top to make it complete. Well, it tastes smooth and real pumpkin with touch of eggnog and very low dosage of cinnamon.
Sure, it’s so good but it just needs some spice on top. Also, I think adding Cocowhip goes better with the pumpkin flavor as it adds tone of vanilla and coco flavors which feels like the whip on top of the pie.
Pumpkin Pie Crunch
Not sure what to say about this smoothie as it just doesn’t deliver the pie flavor. Sure, it tastes good and has a nice crunch coming in from the granola. However, the pie part is just missing and really needs some crust pieces in here to make it equal to a pie. The granola should have been replaced with crust bites. That way it will really bring out the pie part of the flavor.
Pumpkin Coffee
Okay I asked them what coffee they are using, and they said, “Folgers Classic Roast.” However, it just didn’t deliver the coffee part of the taste. Very good tasting smoothie as far as the pumpkin part goes. However, it needs some rich coffee taste for it to be called Pumpkin Coffee. It’s almost as if it doesn’t have coffee even though it does.
Caffeine
They told me that for small and medium they put 1 scoop and for large they put 2 scoops of Folgers Classic Roast Coffee. This means that small and medium are 33mg of caffeine while the large is 66mg of caffeine.
