I was browsing around Instagram and then I saw Chick-fil-A had a new Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich, so I decided to give it a try. From the first bite to the last bite and everything in between is nothing but sweetness. Sure, I was expecting this to be spicy, but there was absolutely no spice coming from the sandwich. The entire taste was being dominated by sweetness delivered from the honey. As you taste the honey, you realize how good it just blends with the chicken. Almost like if you didn’t know well now you know kind of feeling.
Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich
I have nothing to say about the sandwich as it is super delicious, and I will get it again. However, as it has peppers in here you just assume that it is going to be spicy. However, it was everything besides spiciness.
Contains:
- pimento cheese
- pickled jalapeños
- honey drizzle
- chicken
- toasted bun
Pimento Cheese
This reminds me of coleslaw as it’s a mixture of its own. Whatever or however the mixture was with the Pimento Cheese was incredibly done. Nice and variety of taste taking effect in this sandwich which makes you want to eat more and more.
Pickled Jalapeños
When you bite into it you can’t taste spice coming from the Jalapeños. Instead, you taste the pepper taste but with no spice.
Overall
One great and outstanding sandwich, but I am expecting something spicier as it is blended with peppers. I do recommend trying this as it is something new and nicely crafted. One thing I want to mention is that for some reason I was thinking bacon would fit just perfectly in this sandwich. If you didn’t know what you were eating, you would just think you are eating a honey chicken sandwich.
I will give this sandwich 3 out of 5 as it’s missing the spiciness from the peppers. I got to say the peppers have a nice flavor to it but even those flavors are pretty sweet.
