There are just so many seaweed snacks and often the same flavors. You might just think of Sea Salt on top of your mind as that is the most popular flavor that is sold everywhere. However, that is not my type of flavor, and I am into the flavored ones. There just isn’t so many flavors out there as not many people are eating seaweeds. Let’s begin with a popular one:

Ocean’s Halo Maui Onion & Sea Salt 

I got this from Costco and it comes in a pack of 24. The price was $9.79 and I’m very satisfied with it. The Maui Onion tastes like cooked onions with some sweetness with it. Not strong on the taste and very pleasing while eating. The Sea Salt is salty as you would guess, but it is also sweet. I’m not sure where the sweetness comes in as I don’t see any sugar in the ingredients.

Tao Kae Noi Seaweed Variety Pack

I came across this at Costco and with variety of flavors just had to try them all. However, what makes this unique is that there are tempura seaweeds which I find pretty new and different. Everything is perfect, I just wish the ingredients were cleaner in this Tao Kae Noi Seaweed variety pack. Let’s dive right into the 6 flavors.

  1. Tempura Seaweed: Original Flavor – Cool mixture of tempura and seaweed which tastes just amazing. getting a hint of Garlic and Onion in here.
  2. Tempura Seaweed: Spicy Flavor – Not too spicy with a nice touch of tempura. You can taste the tempura and it tastes likes it’s cooked right off the pot.
  3. Crispy Seaweed: Original Flavor – Cool shape and texture. It’s crunchy and soft at the same time.
  4. Crispy Seaweed: Hot & Spicy Flavor – I love this one absolutely good flavor of pepper going on.
  5. Crispy Seaweed: Wasabi Flavor – Can’t handle this one as the wasabi is just too strong.
  6. Crispy Seaweed: Tom Yum Goong Flavor – Can’t figure this flavor out as it feels like the rest of the seaweeds mixed together.
