“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” – John 14:27
This feels easy saying it, but it is hard when you are troubled. When you are living the life of stress, it’s not easy to just say have peace in your life. It is something that you need to work on it, which can take some time. But I think this time is given to us from God to possibly stop us from doing something or something else that we just don’t know. Anyway, point given is that we need to let peace enter to us, and us enter to peace.
Peace
Of all feelings peace is one that is pleasing. It is a desire state of mind where love and happiness are floating in your blood. This feeling is one that is enjoyable and clean mind. However, these feelings don’t last forever, as in one day peace could leave you. This is where I think why it says, “Peace I leave with you,” because it is something we control. “My peace I give you,” I think this is saying that he has given us peace, it’s our choice how we deal with it. “I do not give to you as the world gives,” this is one that is holy from above at the pleasing state of mind.
Above all, all this said, I think it’s referring to that we control our peace. Yet he has given to us, but we live up to our expectations towards it. However, a time will come where he will give us peace towards his way which is above all and beyond. This type of peace is controlled and guided by him.
