“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.” – Psalm 45:6 NIV
Couple of things I want to mention is the definition of some of these words:
- throne – The chair of king or bishop. In other words, Gods Chair.
- scepter – I think this means like position of power.
- justice – This to me is like the Right Way, and reasonable way.
- kingdom – Like a territory or country ruled by a king and queen.
Throne
What is being referred to Throne is that Gods Chair as if the tasks that he performed coming from the Ruler will last forever. In other words, everything that God as done, will be respected and carried on forever.
Scepter
This is saying a powerful right of way with reasonable acknowledgement.
Justice
As if rightful way.
Kingdom
This is the territory that was ruled by a King and a Queen, and whatever the King said, had to be done. It’s not like how it is now with presidents and Government. It is a King that ruled the whole kingdom as it wishes. Almost like a chess, how we have bishops and pawns, same way was the kingdom ruled by kings. During King times, they fought for land, and they fought with pride for their kingdom.
Overall, Gods Throne is what we are living for and following his ways. Regardless of where we are and what generation we are, his words are ones that we must follow and live by.
As I mentioned about kingdom, I also wanted to mention that our presidents sometimes make decisions that are so random. Point being is that being in position of King or Queen, I highly suggest making the decision that is going to support your kingdom or country. Not the other way around.
