This time I decided to try Subway Honey Mustard BBQ Chicken Sandwich which is number 21 on the menu. It is pretty sweet side of sandwich and this time I decided to get it footlong. The calories for footlong is 1010 which is perfect for my first meal of the day. Also, as it’s afternoon I decided to eat and drink with ZOA Green Apple flavored energy drink. The sandwich went just perfect with the energy drink and good healthy feeling.

Subway Footlong Honey Mustard BBQ Chicken

What I like is that with this sandwich you can learn how the sauces taste when mixed together. For example, this sandwich contains sweet honey mustard sauce and hickory-smoked BBQ sauce. With these two sauces mixed together in the sandwich I got honey BBQ flavor with BBQ taking the lead in taste. Next time I may just mix these two sauces together again in a different sandwich.

Contains

  • Toasted Artisan Italian
  • Rotisserie-Style Chicken
  • 2X Monterey Cheddar
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes
  • Pickles
  • Red Onions
  • Honey Mustard Sauce
  • BBQ Sauce

I really think the pickles make this sandwich complete as they add the sour to the sweetness. Overall, this sandwich is pretty sweet and the pickles control little bit of the sweetness with touch of sour. Pretty well blend here with this sandwich. However, for some reason I couldn’t really taste the Monterey Cheddar and the Red Onions. I feel like they were silent in flavor but great tasting sandwich.

The previous sandwich I tried was the Spicy Nacho Chicken Sandwich. I thought it was good but felt like a snack in a way. The same way does this Honey Mustard BBQ Chicken feel. It’s pretty sweet and kind of gave me a snack feeling to it.

I think the sandwich doesn’t need anything to make it any better as it’s good the way it just is. However, I think it’s a bit small for me and I think if it were 20% bigger it would be more suiting to me. Regardless of the size, it was good just as the Spicy Nacho Chicken Sandwich.
