Two new items available at Pizza Hut and they are Hot Honey Pizza & Hot Honey Wings. As you would guess both of them are made with hot honey with habanero. It sure sounds like it’s going to be a super spicy one with a tang of sweetness. Let’s find out:
Hot Honey Pizza & Wings
Hot Honey Double Pepperoni Pizza
The pizza comes in a double pepperoni style and I choose Thin ‘N Crispy for the crust.
Contains:
- Crust (I choose Thin ‘N Crispy)
- habanero-infused honey sauce
- Pepperoni
- Crispy Cupped Pepperoni
- Classic Marinara
- Regular Cheese
Seems like it’s going to be spicy but as you are eating it’s as if there is no spice going on. Feels like 90% sweet and only 10% spice taking effect. Not that spicy, but sure is delicious. At the same time, I think double the pepperoni starts getting annoying in a way. The pepperoni just doesn’t stop and after a while it becomes irritating.
I will get the pizza again as it’s good and I love the crunch from the thin crust. Great pizza just the pepperonis started getting annoying. At the same time, the cupped pepperonis are crunchy as well.
I ordered the pizza in medium size which is $13.99.
Hot Honey Boneless Wings
The boneless wings were on sale for just $6.99 for an 8 piece. Because it was on sale, I ordered the boneless wings.
wings contain:
- Cajun Style Dry Rub
- habanero-infused honey sauce
- breaded
The wings are supposed to be Cajun Style but it’s as if it’s not any Cajun on it. The habanero-infused honey is giving a sweet and spicy kick to the wings. You can feel the spice and the sweet from the wings but not too much heat. Just enough to taste the heat.
What I like about the wings is that it just needs no sauce for the dipping. Some people who like to dip chicken in honey, won’t need to in this hot honey wings.
Overall
The pizza and wings are both good and delicious. However, they were almost not spicy and a little bit too sweet. Sure, the wings had more spice to it, but I think it needed a little bit more. Both were on the yummy side.
