Even though this Java Monster is called Mean Bean is not really mean at all. Instead, it has a peaceful part of taste that just feels good. However, I tend to think the mean part comes from it just being too creamy. I guess as you reach the bottom of the can you just want to get more coffee flavors and less cream taste. It’s just way too creamy which also comes packed with high calories of 220 for 15 Fl Oz. size can.

Mean Bean Tastes Like Vanilla Mean

What does it exactly taste like? Well, it has pure vanilla and cream taste that dominates along with coffee. However, every now and then there is this silent touch of caramel flavor that comes and goes. It’s so sweet that there are 35g of sugars which 24g are added along with artificial sweetener which is sucralose. Way too sweet for me but it does taste really good too. Overall, it is 200mg caffeine from all sources.

Overall 

It’s good tasting coffee but I prefer more coffee taste and less vanilla taste. For some reason, I’m really tired of the vanilla flavors in coffee and prefer more on the black side rather than the cream and vanilla side. However, it sure is delicious and feels good but just way too sweet too. My favorite Java Monster is the Irish Blend but that flavor is replaced with the Irish Crème.
