“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near, and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” – Luke 12:32-34 (NIV)
I just love this Luke phrase from the bible, and it reminds me to progress in life. It reminds me to donate cloth and accessories to people or to communities through donations. For example, if you have cloth that you are going to throw away, why not give it to a charity? Or you can even take it to a store like Goodwill or Out of the Closet.
I like to give my old stuff to Goodwill because it is near the mountain where I go hiking. Sometimes I like to go to Out of the Closet, but Goodwill is closer to me and its way bigger in size. Anway, you just give them whatever you want and they take it. They have a drop off area where you can go and simply just drop off all your unneeded stuff.
If you throw away your unneeded stuff, then now you know that you can donate them. Also, you can even sell them in sites like eBay, Etsy, or Mercari.
Donate VS Throwing in Trash
When you throw something in the trash it can end up in the ocean. As we are running out of space, some countries drop off their trash into the ocean. I really don’t like that, but it’s something that is taking place. By donating you are preventing less products to go to waste. Donating is a form of recycling that makes you feel good about.
