Burger King came out with this Italian Royal Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and it is pretty alright. As eating I had two things in my mind: Tomatoes and Basil. The Marinara Sauce starts to take over the entire taste and it is absolutely on the sweet side of marinara. I think adding some basil would at least control the taste to make it feel more like you’re in Italy.

BK Italian Sandwich

This sandwich has just a very few ingredients: Potato Buns, Marinara Sauce, Mozzarella Cheese, and Crispy white meat breast fillet. The marinara sauce is on the top and bottom of the chicken, the cheese is on top of the chicken, and that’s all.

Combo

As a combo it is served as usual: Sandwich with fries and drink. I got the large size and with this Italian Sandwich I drank it with spindrift Kat Pack drink because it is fruity and natural. When it comes to Italian dishes, I always picture it with healthy beverage and fruity too.

Fries 

It is obviously served with fries; however, I really think it should come with baked potatoes. Yes, baked potatoes with nicely seasoned is the idle combinations to this Italian sandwich.

Fried Chicken

At first, I was a bit doubting that the Crispy Chicken would go along with this sandwich. But second thought, the Crispy chicken fillet just came out to be perfect.

Overall

The marinara sauce dominates the entire taste, and the cheese comes silent in flavor. Adding a little bit of Italian Seasoning would make this sandwich complete. I also wish that it was about 25% bigger because it felt a bit small. All that, I’m going to give this a 4/5 stars and that’s because it needs some Italian Seasoning or basil with pieces of tomatoes combination. No doubt it needs to be served with baked seasoned potatoes, or at least some Italian Seasoned Fries.

It is a good sandwich to try something new for a change. It is different than most sandwiches available in fast food restaurants.
