Burger King introduced a Million Dollar Whopper Contest which resulted with 3 winners. The 3 finalists who gave their ideas for the Whoppers competition now have their idea on the menu available for everyone. Lucky for them to win the million dollar and my idea which I never submitted because I knew for a fact it was not going to make it. Why? Well, because my idea involved with frog legs in the Whopper which as you may guess would just be impossible. Logically, it is not a meat eaten by many and on top of that the supply and the price is just beyond budget. However, never say never and let’s dive or crawl into these 3 finalists.

Mexican Street Corn Whopper

Burger King Mexican Street Corn Whopper

Burger King Mexican Street Corn Whopper

This Whopper doesn’t really live up to the name as it just doesn’t provide the Street Corn type of flavors. The corn taste is absolutely silent and the cheese is not enough.

contains:

  • Sesame Seed Buns
  • 1/4 lb. Beef
  • Tomato
  • Lettuce
  • Tortilla Crisps
  • Street Corn Spread
  • Spicy Queso

Sure, is good when you are eating, but it needs some real pieces of corn along with cheese. On top of that where is the butter? Street Corn usually is known for the butter too which should include some butter into this Whopper. it is created by Kelsie and congratulations for winning the contest. Also felt a bit dry which I think it needs way more Spicy Queso.

Fried Pickle Ranch Whopper

Burger King Fried Pickle Ranch Whopper

Burger King Fried Pickle Ranch Whopper

The name says it all as the pickles are fried. However, they are breaded and then fried which results into less sour as normal but also sweetness that comes 50/50 as you eat.

Contains:

  • 1/4 lb. Beef
  • Lettuce
  • Pickle Ranch
  • Fried Pickles
  • Bacon
  • Swiss Cheese
  • Sesame Seed Buns

It is pretty good as you eat but it’s almost as if it doesn’t have any ranch. Congratulations to Fabian for winning the Million Dollar Contest and great Whopper. I feel like it needs onions and tomatoes to make it complete.

Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper

Burger King Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper

Burger King Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper

I saved the best for last as it’s my favorite of the 3 Whoppers.

Contains:

  • 1/4 lb. Flame-Grilled Beef
  • Maple Bourbon BBQ Sauce
  • Crispy Onions & Jalapenos
  • Smoky Maple Candied Bacon
  • American Cheese
  • Sesame Seed Buns

This one should have been Called Christmas Whopper as it has that Holiday flavors of the maple syrup and aged taste barrel taste. The Sauce inside the Whopper really feels as if it is aged in a barrel just with no Whiskey. Absolutely delicious and so good that I just want to eat this one over the 3. It has Crispy Onions and Jalapenos which they are hard to tell them apart and just to add that the Jalapenos are not adding any spice. Instead, the sweetness of the Maple is just dominating the taste. Just to mention that the Candied Bacon is being overruled by the Maple Sauce as well. Absolutely 5 Stars to this Whopper and congratulations to Calvin for this one.

This Whopper seems perfect, however I would suggest getting more Maple Sauce for the fries. For some reason, Ketchup is not mixing well with these flavors.

Which one is your favorite Whopper?

Even though I had wanted frog legs into my whopper, on the other hand I’ve decided to think of a logical idea. First, I’m sure my idea is going to stand out. Second, if I only thought about it sooner, I probably would have won.

My Idea

My Million Dollar Whopper Contest Idea is to have it made Greek Style. Of course, you are wondering just how that would be like. Well, this is my idea: Having the quarter pounder flame-grilled beef patty along with sesame seed buns. However, instead of usual cheese we are used to, I would put feta cheese along with tomatoes, cucumbers and fresh basil. On top of that I would add just 3 olives and a unique blend of oils to finish the Burger. But I would add the oils on the side, and you pour as you eat. What do you guys think?
