If you are just wondering how this is possible that two taco spots are joining together, well it’s just possible. As we know that Del Taco doesn’t usually have pork, therefore with the joining with Danny Trejo’s Tacos, it just makes sense. Danny Trejo’s Tacos has variety of meats and choices which are fire-roasted to perfection. For limited time the pork meat is going to be available to get from Del Taco. There are actually 4 menu items available, and all made with Pork Al Pastor.

Epic Burrito

This is my favorite item from the menu as it’s the only one that doesn’t come with pineapple.

contains:

  • Al Pastor Pork
  • beans
  • rice
  • Pico De Gallo
  • Guacamole

Sure, it’s as good as it tastes but it is just missing some ingredients to make it complete. For example, where are the onions and cilantros. Kind of made me want to add sour cream to this burrito. However, absolutely delicious from start to finish and you can taste just how great the quality of the pork is.

I like how the pork is tender marinated pork fire-roasted with traditional seasonings.

Street Tacos & Loaded Fries

  • Street Tacos – You could really grasp the street style of this tacos as they are corn tortillas and not flour. However, they come with pineapple that kind of is strong on the flavor. It’s great tasting tacos but the pineapples need to be cooked and burned.
  • Loaded Fries – Nothing needs to be done here as it’s just perfect in every way. It’s so good that I wish it was bigger.

Cheddar Quesadilla

As you start eating you notice there really isn’t much going on with the ingredients. it’s kind of low on the ingredients and it’s got a lot of pineapples. I think the pineapples take a lot from the taste and just overpower it. Therefore, with more added ingredients the pineapple flavor would be less and more pleasing to me. Otherwise, very well-made quesadilla and very cheesy along with greasy.

Overall

After trying the entire menu I think that the meat would be more suiting to me if they were burned. As they are fire-roasted I would prefer to be extra well done so they are burned to perfection. Also, would be great if the pineapples were roasted and burned too. Other than that, entire menu is just perfection. I love that quality of the pork and the way it’s made Al Pastor way.
