When I first came across The Beast Unleashed by Monster Energy, I was a bit frustrated. I was thinking that it is going to have alcohol and caffeine mixed together, so I just bypassed it. However, the second time around I grabbed the box, and I noticed that there is no caffeine, so there was no thinking twice. I got one box which the price was $21.99 for a pack of 12 and they come in 12 Fl oz size cans.

The Beast Unleashed 

There are 4 flavors and 3 of each for such a great price. However, all of them come with fake sweeteners and there just is no clue to what kind of fake sweeteners they are. The ingredients are really not clear enough and almost makes you guess just what can be in here. All of them are 130 calories with natural flavors. Just to mention all of them have fake colors except for the White Haze as it has no color. Anyway, the fake ingredients kind of make me doubt wanting to drink these beverages.

6% Alcohol 

As you drink these beverages you really just don’t notice any alcohol. But as you reach near the end of the can, you notice the alcohol starting to kick in very silently. As you drink, it’s hard to guess that there is alcohol in it. However, the White Haze is the only one that you can at least get a little bit alcohol taste as you drink. The rest are almost silent on the alcohol until you finish the can then you feel the alcohol.

Taste 

One thing is for sure and that is that the taste is just amazing and very smooth. This box set comes with four flavors:

  1. Peach Perfect – Wow! this is beyond perfect with real natural taste of the fruit. Did I say natural? What I meant is that the fruit taste is from the real fruit and not like candy fruit.
  2. White Haze – When you grab this can it’s as if you are touching a real monster. The can has dots on it that almost feel like a dragon skin. This one has a confusing side of taste as I’m getting mandarin and coconut mixed taste.
  3. Mean Green – I think the green color has just gone mad as the color of this drink is red and not green. Tastes just like the classic Monster Energy except with less gas and no caffeine.
  4. Scary Berries – Has a sour like taste and the berries that are in here don’t feel like they are natural berries. Almost as if it’s candy like berries and not feeling any sweetness as it’s giving me bitter taste.

From all of the 4 flavors, the Peach Perfect is just the one for me. All of them are extremely low on gas and all of them taste just very delicious. Great alcohol drink from Monster and it is just very enjoyable as the Monster Energy is. 🙂
