Today I wanted to try El Pollo Loco Double Crunch Taquito Nachos because I got a coupon of it. In the coupon there are two versions of this Double Loaded Nachos:

  1. Double Chicken
  2. Double Crunch Taquito

So, The Taquito one was just grabbing my attention the most so I gave it a try. Well, what can I say other than that this was an interesting meal. For the main part, Queso Blanco was used for the nachos which is white cheese. Normally I’m used to seeing yellow cheese in nachos so this nachos with white cheese really stood out of the rest for me. On top of that having Taquitos mixed with the nachos was something new for me to give this a try.

  • Tortilla Chips
  • Chicken Taquitos
  • Fire-Grilled Chicken
  • Guacamole
  • Queso Blanco
  • Beans
  • Pico De Gallo
  • Creamy Cilantro Dressing

I liked all the ingredients used to make this plate. I think all the combinations of ingredients is all perfect and there is nothing more I could say to add to it. Well, maybe some jalapenos, and I’m talking about grilled jalapenos, but other than that all is perfect with this meal.

Double Crunch Taquito

I also added Large Size Chips & Guacamole to my plate. So, the top chips and the guacamole is not part of the meal I have a habit of always adding those to all my meals from El Pollo Loco.

Almost Perfect 

I kind of found everything perfect about this meal, except I found this to be on the small side. It looks like its an okay size, but to me I found it very small. After finishing the plate, I felt like I could eat another half of a plate. I was craving rice, beans, and flower during the time I was eating. So, I think by adding some side dishes to this meal it would really make it more complete. Good thing I had a lot of desserts to go along this meal, because I kind of felt like I was still hungry a bit.

Horchata Would be Perfect too 

I asked them for a large size Horchata and they said they don’t have large size cups at the moment. So, I kind of felt upset and I didn’t want some small size Horchata because the large size is the one that makes me enjoy with the meal. I ended up not getting Horchata due to small cup sizes, However I really think Horchata would make this plate a matching pair.

All said, I also think that there is really nothing too special about this plate. Yes, it has taquitos and white nachos. However, I could add the taquitos to any nacho plate. On the other hand, White Nachos may be some what harder to get compared to Yellow Nachos. I really give full credit to this nachos because the white cheese and taquitos make it pretty fun to eat.

I loved the taquitos with the Salsa Roja sauce which is very fiery. Try this while its available for a limited time, really good.
